About the project

Faith need not fear a fair question.

The Perfect Bible is an independent public evidence project examining the history behind the King James Bible, its underlying texts and the claims made for and against it.

Make the evidence understandable—and inspectable.

Readers are often offered two bad choices: accept a slogan without examination, or assume every question has already been settled by specialists. This project takes a different route. We identify one claim at a time, show the best evidence on both sides, link the record and state the limits plainly.

What every published case should contain

A narrow questionOne case, one main proposition, clearly stated.

An evidence ledgerDates, sources, classifications and limitations.

The strongest objectionNot a weak substitute chosen to make our side look easy.

A measured verdictClear distinctions between fact, inference, possibility and uncertainty.

No institution gets a blank cheque.

A manuscript, printed edition, scholar, church tradition or popular teacher can be useful without being beyond examination. If a factual error is identified, the right response is to inspect the source and correct the record visibly.
